Ports of Normandy: 3 ports that offer comprehensive, competitive, flexible and responsive solutions.
Ports of Normandy, comprising the ports of Caen-Ouistreham, Cherbourg and Dieppe, is linked up to high-quality multimodal services which connect to the main European transport networks, giving it the capacity to process various types of traffic and host diversified business activities:
- Conventional freight: 1 M/T per year, with the capacity to handle all types of goods (solid and liquid bulk, heavy packages, hazardous products, etc.). 6,000 m of wharf, 23 cranes, more than 63,000 m² of buildings (warehouses and workshops) and more than 200 hectares of land available.
- Renewable marine energies: Cherbourg, 320 m of wharf, accessible 24/7, bearing up to 15 t per sq. m, 100 ha in total, very close to the Alderney Race, the largest potential for commercial water-turbine farms in the world. Caen-Ouistreham, future maintenance base of the Courseulles Sur Mer wind farm. Dieppe, future maintenance base of the Dieppe-Le Tréport wind farm.
