Port of Venice

The Port of Venice is located at the top of the Adriatic Sea, at the intersection of the main European transport corridors and Motorways of the Seas. Venice is one of Europe’s major break bulk ports. Port terminals are equipped with advanced technology and specifically for general cargo and special freight shipping thanks to mobile cranes. The Venice Port counts on excellent road and rail connections and represents the only maritime-fluvial port in Italy with the possibility of fluvial connections into the Padana area. It is provided with dedicated areas specialized in general cargo handling. The absence of infrastructural constraints – tunnels, bridges or overpasses – makes the Port of Venice a unique hub for special freights.
