The Port of Ravenna is a multi-purpose port equipped to manage all types of goods including hazardous and exceptional project cargoes. It ranks first in Italy for the handling of bulk and general cargo and is also a leading Italian port as regards containerized cargo particularly in relation to its trade with the Eastern Mediterranean countries.
The “Ravenna Port Hub: infrastructural works” Project, financed by the Italian Government and by the European Union, comprises the deepening of the port’s seabed, the upgrading of its existing quays, a new container terminal and new vast areas destined for logistic activities (2 million sq. m.).
