Port Gdańsk
Port Gdansk is not just a port complex whose primary function involves goods handling. It is also a strategic enterprise for the Polish economy, benefiting investors from all over the world. Port Gdansk is located in one of the most dynamically developing regions of Europe. It is important logistics hub and the core port of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). The Port’s chief assets include good hydrographic conditions, which means that the world’s largest transoceanic vessels call at its quays. Modern transhipment capabilities determine the multifunctionality of Port Gdansk. We handle containers, general cargo, vehicles, cereals, coal, liquid fuels, other bulk and passenger traffic. In 2018, we handled 49 million tons, reaching a historic record. It is 20,7% increase compared to 2017. Given this, the Port of Gdansk moved from the 6th position to the 4th on the list of the largest ports on the Baltic Sea.
