The Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Co., Chipolbrok, established in 1951 is the first joint-venture company with foreign capital in the People’s Republic of China. The head office is in Shanghai, and its branch office is in Gdynia, Poland. The company also operates via subsidiary companies in Houston, Rotterdam, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai, as well as via the network of dedicated agency worldwide. At the moment Chipolbrok owns a fleet of 14 multipurpose heavy lift vessels (up to 700 ts cranes) whereof 4 new buildings were delivered in 2016, all specially designed for sea carriage of sophisticated project cargoes. Chipolbrok is a world-leading project cargo carrier running regular liner services linking all major markets of three continents: Europe, Asia and America.
