The complete opposite has happened and through these challenging times, companies are looking at their green agenda, sustainability targets and reducing emissions more than ever before. To appreciate the full extent of the impact of new environmental regulations including GHG 2050, the impact COVID-19 has had and the roles and responsibilities of the sector when it comes to protecting the environment, top logistics professionals will come together to discuss their efforts in reducing their carbon footprint and their journey to 0 emissions.

In line with the above, it is more and more common for project owners and EPC companies to request sustainability data from companies they partner with on a project. As an industry this is great, however, we need to ensure this data is being used for the right reasons and teams know what to look for. This session will highlight how the supply chain is playing it’s part in preserving the environment as well as specifics of what to look out for when assessing how sustainable potential project partners are.

The tariffs and trade war with China have been increasing the need to move manufacturing to other countries around the world for years and has been made more prominent since the COVID-19 pandemic, where the need for shorter supply chains has been at the top of people’s minds. Africa is one such region that offers fantastic potential as a manufacturing hub, however, does not come without it’s challenging infrastructure.

Following on from the successful spotlight at last year’s show, this session will highlight what is next for the region and where opportunities are likely to open up. Join this panel to ensure you are equipped to enter the market by learning from your peers who have worked on a successful regional project and will provide guidance, advice and top tips for success in challenging conditions.
